No apologies...

Funny how inspiration hits us at the weirdest of times. I was on my way to work yesterday morning, stuck in traffic on Mombasa Rd. Couldn't get time to put it up though because i swamped as is usual with Mondays. Today, I'm not so busy and i thought why not?!
So yesterday i remembered this house party i had attended not so long ago and some girl had a fall out with her boyfriend and woke up the next day her eyes really swollen from crying all night. Those eye bags were big, she needed shades to hide under.
It got me thinking of where we have to draw the line....
-If he makes you cry
-If he takes up all your energy
-If he holds your hand too tight its painful
-If he is not your shoulder to cry on
-If he is an asswipe, douchebag or lowlife...excuse the lingo!
Compromise when you have to, do not be a doormat, stand your ground. I am 23 freaking years old, no way I'm changing now for anyone! I am not venting, lol, maybe i am...who cares? Do you? Didn't think so...
Do not say i love you first
Do not text or call first
Do not beg
Do not sleep with him if you're not ready
Always demand respect....
If he falls short, let him go and have no apologies! xoxo!

What women want...

Let's be clear first that,I'm not playing coy here, I know we're complex creatures. And, true, we operate on a different wavelength than men. It isn't as hard to win the heart of a woman as most men believe, and no we're not from Mars! Contrary to popular belief its as easy as A,B,C...
One of my no.1 fans Bonke Moses suggested i was favouring my female conterparts by focussing my posts on them and letting them know when to call quits and stuff! Well, today i focus on the gentlemen, giving you an inside look into the heart of a woman, you can thank Bonke and I later, enjoy!
Note: you won't find diamond rings or other fancy things anywhere on this list. While other women really do want luxury goods from men, when you break it down they are just physical representations of some of the points on this list. I promise.
1.Communication.
Women are vocal creatures. We know you love us, but it's nice to hear you say it, too. We can also be insecure. We wish we weren't, but the reality is that we often notice our wobbly thighs and forget about our gorgeous eyes. So let us know when you think we're hot, tell us we're beautiful. It helps us feel good. Plus, when we feel sexy we're more likely to act sexy.
2.Sex.
Yes, we know you love sex. But, remember that there are four bases to cover in the bedroom, not just one. Try stopping at each base instead of being so focused on the home run—believe us, we'll thank you for it! Likewise, remember small physical touches like massages. One can never, ever, have too many shoulder rubs. And scratching our heads is pretty great, too.
4.Time.
We understand relationships can't be all wine and roses; simply making the time to be with us and treating us like your top priority says "love" more than all the fancy gifts and lovely letters ever could. This includes helping around the house. The realities of a 21st-century relationship are that both partners probably work. If you happen to get home before we do, why not take vacuum the living room or throw in a load of laundry? If you take the garbage out without being asked, chances are you'll be getting a big ole smooch when you come back.
5.Attention.
I'll admit today here and now, that I am an attention junkie. Constant texts, calls every now and then and making time to see me, will send me falling head over heels. I believe it is also the same for most women, make her feel like she matters, like she is part of your everyday life and that you think of her constantly.
6.Be a shoulder she can cry on.
Women want to know that you are always there for them and this means being a pillar of strength when they are sad. They love a man that is masculine, yet also has a feminine side to them. More points of what women want in relationships is showing that you are not afraid to be yourself when you are with her, showing your feelings of love in public ( Which they know makes other women envious), and always being truthful and honest with them.

7. Have her details and important dates on your finger tips: Her birthday, How many siblings she has, where she grew up, her favourite colour....et cetera. I still insist that if a man has been with you for well over a month and still doesn't know the colour of your eyes, he's just not that into you.

8.Make her laugh and want to be around you all the time, just make her happy. Even if it means pinning her to the ground and tickling her until she farts!

9.Compliment her. Be very keen when it comes to new hair-dos,new nail job and such. If one of your boys says it before you do. Oh,trust thats not good.

10. NEVER COMPARE HER TO ANYONE! And even if you do, make sure its someone who's out of reach. For example, you could compare her to Rihanna or Amber Rose.

11.Spend money on her. Surprise her with something nice once in a while. Don't be selfish. Don't buy a 10,000 bob watch for yourself, then take HER to some shady dingy eating joint.

12. Kiss her in the rain. *ahem*

13.Kindly just remove that passcode from your phone. You insist on trust and such... What are you hiding anyway???

14.Always admit that you're wrong and she's right! ALWAYS!

15.Hold her hand once in a while. Some ladies I know dont exactly like PDA but it doesn't have to be outdoors, you could hold her hand indoors or over the dinner table.

16.Even if you were bullied as a kid, or a toddler once pooped on you, always, always tell her how much you would love to have babies with her. Let her know that you see a future with her.

17.NEVER call other girls the pet names you call her....."Babie...Hun...et cetera."

18.When you're talking about your future, always say "We are going to get this"....or "We will travel to this place", instead of "I am going to buy you this"...or "I will take you to this place"

19.All ladies want a man with a sense of security or someone she can brag about to her girlfriends. Its nothing materialistic or gold-digging.Its just natural. so get your act right.

20.Speaking of girlfriends. Don't get so uptight when she says she's going out with the girls....be easy!

21.Crowd her space. Make her feel like she's the only girl in the world. Feel jealous once or twice.Question where she is, and who she's with.A jealous hot man is a very sexy combination.

22.Take her shopping and at least pretend to enjoy helping her pick out outfits!

23.As much as people say "opposites attract", women love men who agree with them on certain random issues, like politics and such...

24.ALWAYS HAVE COLOGNE ON!! There's nothing that defines you like your signature scent. Trust me!

25.Keep your hair and nails short, neat, and kempt!

26.Let her wear your t-shirt, or sleep in your boxers just for fun.

27.No matter how angry you are, never suggest a break-up!

28.Tell her she has beautiful eyes, and a beautiful smile. That always works.

29.Sacrifice a night out with the boys to watch a movie indoors with her from time to time.

30.Conversations concerning ex-girlfriends should be avoided ALWAYS!!! Learn to let go of the past. No woman wants a man with baggage!

31.Kiss her randomly. That actually works best in between arguments, or during those mushy mushy movies like 'Just Wright', 'Walk To Remember' and 'Dear John'.

32.Clean up nice!! Of course she should love you for you, but don't be surprised if you've gone out well over a month and you have never met her friends.

33.Treat her like no one else matters. When your with her, don't stare at random behinds or make her feel left out when you're hanging out with friends.

34.Get your act right. You don't have to drive an AUDI to be considered, but every lady either wants a successful man,or on the road to success. Don't hide your businesses, open up to your woman.

35.Saying you 'love her' before, during or immediately after sex doesn't count. Say that when you really mean it, Say it with her clothes ON!

36. Chivalry is not dead...If you are a step or two ahead of me, I'd expect you to hold the door. Pull up a chair for me, open the car door etc...

37. Don't be rude to anyone especially waiters.

38. Leave your bad, childish behaviour and vulgar jokes that you share with your boys behind when you're with us.

39.Be the man in that relationship, don't PMS and expect to be smothered, we want that, you should smoother us, and not the opposite. Being manly is not being macho. Manliness is the positive qualities of decisiveness, strength in one's convictions, confidence, self-reliance, high moral qualities, self discipline, honesty and integrity.

40.We don't care what the plan is, Just have one.

Au Revoir!!!

Been a while since i wrote anything fashion related, was going through a rough patch(emotional and trust related) LOL....Clearly! Haha, I'm back though :-]
The hemlines are falling! The hemlines are falling! Well, dear readers, it's true. As much as you've been prepping your gams to style your favourite mini dress/skirt in the heat, now in this cold season hemlines are falling below the knee. While most of you are just getting a grip on the maxi-dress trend be fair-warned that there's a new look on the block.
Even designers I.e Chloe, Chanel, Alexander Wang, Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, Jil Sander, Brioni, Stella McCartney, Peter Pilotto, Rebecca Taylor and Ralph Lauren focused on this trend on their Spring 2011 runways.

Heartbroken...

*sob sob* but this time with an with an attitude!!! Insert: Beyonce's song- Best thing i never had.
Are you wrong about love again?! What does karma have on you? Does it puzzle you?!...
Dedication to all you women who build walls around your heart and break them down when you think you have found the one and only, only for your heart to be broken. They say, "Beware of the man who sweeps you off your feet, he is in the perfect position to drop you on your ass!"

Here are tell tell signs that he is just not that into you...Or he is just not the one for you!

1. He's not trying to see you.
If there is one thing guys have made clear, it's that if they want to see you, they'll find a way. If you find yourself doing most of the inviting and planning, maybe you should take a step back and figure out why. It could just be that he's lazy and likes the fact that you're planning everything (entirely different issue), but if you're in the beginning of a relationship, it most likely means he's not that into it. Quit making plans and see what happens.

2. He only wants to see you for "you know what."
This is pretty simple. If after one or two legitimate dates your subsequent relationship has consisted of calls, texts and hangouts past 9pm, you might want to question his intentions. Again, if a guy likes you he will want to learn more about you, before he gets to know you in the, ahem, biblical sense.

3. You haven't been introduced to his friends/ family.
No, it's not that he wants to keep you all to himself. Be honest with yourself. When he likes you, he's going to want to show you off and see what his friends and family think about you. By introducing you to his friends, who are presumably a big part of his life, it shows that he wants to include you in all aspects of his life.

4. He doesn't remember important things about you.
This is a big one. If he really is in to you, he'll make sure to remember the details. And I'm not talking your birthday; that is a requirement. Little things, like maybe you have a big presentation at work and he wishes you luck, or you have an exam. Small gestures like these indicate he really values you and wants you to feel special.

5. He leaves you wondering about everything
One of the great truths about men, is this: "We are not complicated". If a guy wants you, you’ll know it. There won’t be any mystery. The phone will ring. An e-mail will show up. He will indicate a clear willingness for greater proximity. If that’s not happening, you’re not getting all his attention.

6.It takes him longer than 24 hours to return your calls or texts
The fact is, you really like him, and he’s really not so great about getting back to you when you call. A few hours is one thing. The length of a workday is acceptable. More than 24 hours, though, and he hasn’t called back? Unless he’s an undercover cop or a submariner, it means he’s blowing you off.

7. When you're sad and can't turn to him for comfort.
When you're a giant ball of tears and snot, do you lock yourself into the bathroom so he can't see you at your worst? If you're worried about scaring him away, one of you isn't ready for total commitment. Mr. Right should make you smile through your tears, and be a calming, not stressful presence.

8. He avoids conflict at any cost.
Fighting is healthy. And, when done right (in the non-accusatory, rational sort of way), it can be a great way to air grievances, fix problems in your relationship and come to a deeper understanding of each other. Ignoring problems is not the same as having no problems at all... even if it looks that way.

9. You don't trust him.
A small dose of jealousy can be healthy, but if you're hacking into his email account, and you keep snooping around his wall on facebook, something's wrong. If there's something about him that truly warrants your distrust, then perhaps he's not the right one for you.

10. He has a list of things he needs you to stop doing/saying/wearing if he wants your relationship to work.
If he is fixating on your flaws, you are either not the one he wants or he is not ready for a serious relationship. Cutting him loose allows you time to grow and gives you the opportunity to meet a guy who can embrace—or at least accept your flaws.

Do not turn a blind eye to these signs!

Have you ever tried sleeping with a broken heart....haha, Good luck!
Do not despair though, the sun will shine tomorrow...xoxo!

Sweet dreams.....NOT!

Follow my blog with Bloglovin
Good morning bloggers! I'm up early today, yes...this is early for me, in fact I'm still sipping on my coffee.
Today, I woke up wanting to tell you all about dreams, my weird dreams and blah, blah, blah...I'll get to it no worries. Before that though, was reading the Saturday magazine and the article on 'can women detach feelings i.e their emotions from the physical' caught my eye!
Two women there give their opinions on the topic and both of them say they have no problem with casual sex and forgetting all about it. Two of them however admit to thinking they could do it but later find themselves entangled in their emotions.
I don't know about you, but my take is that shit is hard! I am not really the casual sex kind, and if i was it would have to be with somebody i did not know, never met before to avoid the connection. But then still, why would i want to sleep with someone i do not know? Hmm...just not for me!
Touchy topic, and I will not get any more into it...Lets head straight to my dreams!
Dreams according to Google are successions of images, ideas, emotions and sensations occurring involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep.
Everyone dreams (even if we don’t always remember them after the fact) and researchers have found that the majority of us have dreams with similar themes.
A while back, i had this constant dream almost every night about falling, i never hit the ground though, i would get startled and wake up. This dream was later replaced by a being chased dream. I don't know who was chasing me, but i was always running. Then, the other night i had a dream I was in a car and it was falling off a cliff after the brakes failed. Feeling a little concerned i sought to find out what was going on and this is what i found...

10. Car Flying Off Cliff Dream

In these types of dreams you are usually in or near a car or some other type of vehicle which is out of control or has other problems that seem insurmountable. For example, the brakes may have failed, you may have lost control of the steering, or be heading over a cliff or crashing. You can either be the driver or the passenger. This is a very common type of nightmare and it occurs in all people – not just those who can drive. This dream usually means that you are feeling powerless over something in your life – or that you are heading for a crash (metaphorically speaking).

9.Faulty Machinery Dream

In the faulty machinery dream you are trying to operate mechanical equipment which either fails to work, or fails to work in the way that you expect it to. The vast majority of these dreams involve a telephone – either trouble dialing, losing a connection, or dialing a wrong number. It can involve a lost Internet connection, or something manual like a jammed or broken machine. This dream often means that you feel you are losing touch with reality, or that a part of your body or mind is not functioning as it should. It can also occur when you are feeling anxious about making a connection with another person in real life.

8. Lost or Trapped Dream

Dreaming about being lost is very common and will usually occur when you are having conflict in deciding how to react in a situation in real life. In the dream you are trying to find your way out of an area – such as a forest, city streets, a large building, or other maze-like structure. Another way this dream plays out involves you being trapped, buried alive, caught in a web, or unable to move for some other reason. This is often accompanied by a feeling of terror. This dream usually means that you are trapped in real life – unable to make the right choice.

7. Missed a Bus or Plane Dream

In this type of dream you are rushing to catch a bus, train, plane, or other type of public transport – but you miss it – usually by a fraction of a second. Rather than feeling fear in this dream, you usually feel frustration. This dream can also occur in a different form, in which you arrive late for an important performance or sporting event that you are supposed to participate in, only to find that the event has already begun. This dream usually means that you feel that you have missed out on an important opportunity in your real life. It will often occur when you are struggling over an important decision.

6. Failing a Test Dream

This dream usually manifests itself in people who have been out of school for a long time. In the dream you are prevented from passing a test in a variety of different possible scenarios. In one scenario you find that you are unable to make it to the test on time, often through being unable to find the test room. In other versions you are unprepared (either through lack of study) or you are missing equipment. This dream usually means that you are feeling tested in some way in your real life. You may feel that you are unprepared for something or playing the wrong part in life.

5. Ill or Dying Dream

In this dream, you (or a loved one) are ill, injured, or dying. It is a moderately common dream and, not surprisingly, occurs often at the onset of an illness. Aside from becoming ill, this dream can mean that you are emotionally hurt or are afraid of becoming hurt. The dream may also be warning you of an upcoming physical risk to yourself or a loved one. When it is someone else in the dream that dies, it can mean that you feel that part of yourself (that you see represented by that person) is dead. It may also mean that you wish the person would go away, or that you fear losing them.

4. Being Chased Dream

Dreaming of being chased can be a truly horrifying experience. Most often the chaser is a monster or some person that is frightening, and occasionally it may be an animal. You may be surprised to know that this is the most commonly experienced nightmare theme. The meaning of these dreams is that someone, something (possibly something as obscure as an emotion) is making you feel threatened. One way to determine the root of the threat is to ask yourself who or what in your real life most closely resembles the “creature” or circumstance in your dream. It is also worth noting that sometimes this dream is a replay of an actual event in your life.

3. Bad or Missing Teeth Dream

Teeth dreams are fairly common and they usually involve the discovery of extremely decayed or missing teeth in your own mouth. Sometimes you will dream that you open your mouth and your teeth begin to fall out. The fact that the majority of people today have reasonable teeth (perhaps with the exception of the British), it is not surprising that we feel so emotionally disturbed by these dreams. So, what does it mean when we dream about missing teeth? At the most basic level it means that we are afraid of being found unattractive. At a deeper level, it can signify a fear of embarrassment or a loss of power in real life. Oh – I was just kidding about the “British” thing!

2. Nudity Dream

In this type of dream you are in a state of undress, partial undress, or inappropriate dress (for example wearing pajamas to work). Occasionally you are the witness of another person who is naked while you are clothed. This is often accompanied by feelings of embarrassment and shame, but occasionally with the feeling of pride or freedom. The meaning of this dream is that you are feeling exposed, awkward, or vulnerable, or you are afraid that you have revealed too much of yourself (such as a secret or a very personal feeling) in a real life situation. An interesting fact about this type of dream is that it occurs much more frequently in people who are involved in a wedding ceremony in their real life.

1. Falling or Sinking

We have all had falling dreams – it is such a common dream, in fact, that myths have arisen over them; the most common myth is, of course, that you will die if you hit the ground in the dream. I can assure you, having hit the ground in more than one falling dream, that this is not true at all. In the falling dream we are usually falling through the air and frightened. Occasionally we may be sinking in water (and in danger of drowning). Typically a person having this dream is feeling insecure or lacking in support in their waking life. These dreams often occur when you are overwhelmed in life and feel ready to give up. If you have this dream you should evaluate your current situation and try to locate the problem that is overwhelming you. Deal with it and this dream should go away.

0. Pregnancy Dream
If the dreamer is a woman and you dream you are pregnant then you will see a big increase in your income, but if you are unwed and sad you will experience losses. For a man to dream that he is the father of the child he is warned about indiscriminate sexual relations and one night stands.

Well what do you know? My three weird dreams are here! Are yours here too? Let me know...
I am not really the superstitious kind much...but this was kinda un-nerving i had to tell...Have a dream aware day, xoxo!
