My Month Of Firsts...

I am just going to get right to it and ignore the fact that i have been MIA for quite some time.
Last month car stalled in the middle of the road on Uhuru Highway at one frigging AM!!! Let me back track to where and how it all began.Wow, it is exactly the same day today, only a month ago. I had just finished my french class and headed home, we had planned to have a birthday party for my sis the next day and we hadn't shopped for anything. She called and we ran to the market, at about 6pm we were done and decided we should drop the stuff at the residence where the party was being held at a friend's house in Syokimau.
We decided to use the Eastern bypass, at one point i complained about the break pad being a little hot.We were stuck in traffic for over an hour when a man in the next car pointed it out to us that our car was leaking. Clueless and after asking him lots of stupid questions, i pull up to the nearest petrol station and explained the situation. They say the car had overheated and didn't have any water. They pour bucket and bucket loads of water in there and 30min later we're back on the road. Traffic has cleared, so in about another 30min were pulling up at our friend's house.
Chit chat and a glass or two of wine later, we decide we're driving back home even after persuasion to sleep over. My sis is driving now, we use Msa road and after Nyayo stadium, my sis tells me the car is not moving, and I'm like what do you mean? She says the accelerator isn't working, am now scared and tell her to try and push it past that ka infamous hill, the car goes up the hill and stops pap right at the end of that hill. The car won't start, windows won't roll up, lights won't go on and we're on Uhuru Highway.
Trembling, i get the triangle thingy out of the boot and place 50m away like i was taught in driving school, must be the only thing i remember anyways. Then we stand there and try to flag cars down for help, i call my knight in shining armour(ahem) hoping to come and be whisked away. Just in time a car pulls up,its an Afriexecutive cab. He asks what the problem is and if we have rope so that he can pull us to safety. Another car pulls up and offers to keep us company as the other guy rushes off to buy rope from the supermarket.
He is back in a few and pulls us to the nearest petrol station. We pay him handsomely for his help, try to jump start the car but it won't start. They say it's something to do with the alternator and that it has to be replaced. Knight in shining armour arrives, we pay for breakdown services and we're finally headed home. Yeah i tried to cut that story short cause my heading clearly reads, my month of firsts;
My other first happened last weekend on the very last day of February. An unforgettable day that started quite nicely only to end tragically if i may say so myself.
Wasn't pretty!
I don't know how else to say it, but i was clobbered a good one. Scratches all over, and patches on my head where hair was removed...cat fight for real! I am not really a fists girl but my tongue can be quick, not to say i did not get in a few punches and no it was not over a man! I draw the line at  violence,i am not a violent person and no one should condone it...with my few lessons learnt this early in the year, it is going to be one joyride!
Oh, and today is my wittle brother's birthday, who's not so little anymore. S/O to our last born, only brother and always baby of the house! Happy Birthday!!!
Later peeps...xx
